Tape on the sky glass speakers
hi everyone What's this about tape on the sky glass speakers apparently if you remove the tape it stops the crackling noise but how do you do this I'm disabled and live in a care home and I have my sky glass on the wall just wondering how you go about it if anyone could give me any advice that would be great
Because it is really annoying and it seems to have got louder since I've upgraded the software to entertainment OS 1.3
Thanks Pete

Re: Tape on the sky glass speakers
@pete1986andrew never heard of anything to do with removing tapestopping the speakers on s Glass TV crackling. There have been previous reports of crackling speakers some seem to be down to a quality issue which if the TV is under warranty Sky usuallr replace but its down to the customer to return the faulty TV which if its wall mounted requires two fit people to get it down and the replacement put up so most people need to get help to do that it is not something Sky or tgeir delivery company will do..
One suggestion is to decrease the volume as it is often the bass speakerscthst rattle at hugh volumes.

Re: Tape on the sky glass speakers
Teardown pictures do show copious use of tape to secure wires during construction, and at least one post has suggested this may, in some cases, come loose to vibrate with a speaker driver.
Unfortunately investigating this requires a serious disassembly of the whole unit, and really should only be considered by a professional.
