Sky Glass is not as good as we were led to believe so we want to cancel the Glass supply contract and restart the satellite feed to our Sky+ box.
Has anyone done this?

Once the cooling off period has ended, there's a 24 month minimum term on subscription television unless you specifically chose (and pay extra for) the monthly rolling subscription.

Re: Stop Glass and restart Sky+ contract?
You can only cancel in the first 31 days. After that, it's up to Sky whether they allow it or not.
There is a £25 collection fee to pay if you do cancel. Taking video and photos of the set before collection is advised too.

Re: Stop Glass and restart Sky+ contract?
Thanks Gavin. The set belongs to us, not rented. I doubt that Sky have the power to disallow me to cancel the supply contract unless there's a minimum period, I don't know.

Re: Stop Glass and restart Sky+ contract?
If you own the set in that it's fully paid for then I would be surprised if Sky don't allow you to switch TV subscriptions. You're staying with them, just wanting a different package. They may recontract you for 24 months from the switch.
Call them is the best advice!

Re: Stop Glass and restart Sky+ contract?
You cannot revert to Sky+ because that's an obsolete platform. Sky may permit a switch to Q.

Re: Stop Glass and restart Sky+ contract?
@Chiliman you can still ask if you're outside the cooling off period, but it's at Sky's discretion whether or not to allow you to cancel. You definitely won't be able to go back to Sky+, though. Sky Q would be the satellite option.

Re: Stop Glass and restart Sky+ contract?
It may be worth noting that Sky are closing some satellite delivered HD channels in April (U& Yesterday, U&W & Sky History 2). This is probably the start of Sky winding down Sky Q in anticipation of the closure of sevices via satellite in the next decade.

The 'U' channels are actually owned by the commercial arm of the BBC and Sky History is a brand-name licenced by Sky Group to the Hearst Networks organisation.
