Another choice is to find an alternative provider.

This is an ongoing Fault and only solution is to switch channels and switch back again - really bad Sky selling the TV without this solved

Yea, still having problems with syncing. Sky said they had put a fix in but certainly didn't fix my tv. Still having to switch channels. So frustrating. No further update from Sky. 😔

They seem to have run out of plasters😡

What is the point of this forum? We are all just typing to each other. It needs a protest outside their stores🤣!! It is an absolute farce what is going on. I wonder would it be worth sending to Adrian Wreckler in the Irish Independent?

I have cancelled all payment's to Sly Sky. I cancelled all direct debits as they are in breach of the sale of goods act 1979.

This comment will no doubt be deleted like my others and the cover up will continue... I will be screen shotting it as evidence against sky ready for my day in court.
I keep seeing new people joining this discussion, new to sky glass (removed)
I have watched the last two nights football via my new EE box, no lip sync, no buffering, no tv turning off, no problems. All of this via the same principle, tv over the internet!!!
To all the Sky superusers... the fix of turn over and then back again is no longer acceptable and you should be holding Sky accountable for the multiple long term failures with sky glass and sky stream.
Shame on you all.

Speech is still out of sync after updates. When will Sky fix this properly?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Mattyo145 lip sync can vary between streams and Sky tell us they arexworking on it. A work round I use when watching a linear TV channel quickly move up,a channel and then back often sorts the issue

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Michael771 and others unilaterally cancelling payment of a continueing direct debit is a very bad idea even if you consider Sky are in breach of contract. The Sake of Goods Act no longer applies it is replaced by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 but is irrelevant when discussing payment. Only a court can cancel a contract and while you can ask a court to do so because you feel Sky have breached your statutory rights you cannot unilaterally do so yourself.
I spent a considerable number of years managing consumer rights advice services and our advisors spent a lot of time sorting out the mess cancelling a direct debit causes for the client. Firstly your service will stop, Sky wont talk to you, after a period they will instruct debtcollectors and in last event they will apply for a court order for the debt that will be granted. Your credit history will inevitably be affected.
The correct procedure is to formally complain to Sky see How to make a Sky complaint | Sky Help | Sky.com
and ask they release you from contract due to the fault if they dont agree you can then go to the independent Alyernstive Dispute Resolution stage. This a a system approved by the regulator Ofcom and the courts expect you to have followed the procedure before taking other axtion.
On a scale of 1 to 10 of the best ways of shooting yourself in the foot cancelling a direct debit is a 10 if you cancel a payment for a credit sale as is likely with Sky Glass it goes to 11. Dont do it its stupid.

Just in case Sky has missed this. The audio sync issue isn't limited to live streams. That is just wher it happens the most. Bluetooth audio also gets out of sync sometimes and even HDMI audio, from something like a PC. To resolve that, the TV needs to be completely restarted, which is a bit annoying, as that option is in that deep buried system settings menu.
Regarding the Bluetooth audio. The constantly "forgets" the connected Bluetooth receiver, too. This can only be fixed in that same deeply buried menu, accessed by exiting to the main menu, scroll aaallll the way to the bottom, go into settings and the reconnect the Bluetooth device from there. Would be neat if this could be done directly in that quick switcher menu for Audio Output selection.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Ewingad The latest software for Glass is QS034.023.04P but as reported a number of times although it was supposed to fix the current lip sync problem unfortunately it was unsuccessful so it is back to a waiting game for Sky to find another solution.
If you have not already been made aware a quick way to get it back in sync, albeit temporarily, is to flip to another channel and back again. This has worked for me everytime.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AndyCairns I sympathise with your situation. BBC1 and occasionally ITV seem to be the only 2 channels that I seem to have trouble with and TBH I don't think I have ever needed to get it back in sync more than once a day. Your issue is seems to be much worse than mine. I believe Sky Sport can also be problematic but I no longer subscribe to Sport so can't confirm.
