Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
I'm trying to work out the alternative to sky glass. Apart from the glitches, I like the overall concept. I'll need to do some research!

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
The solution is actually to get Sky tv through a different platform such as virgin media. Embarrassing that this is actually the solution to fix sky glass. any external devices such as apple tv works perfectly. They wanted me to pay €800 to replace the tv. Luckily I had called up before the guarantee was up. I was delighted with the replacement but it is not the solution. This is like the postmaster scandal.

Unfortunately I can't get Virgin because there's no cable in our area yet - so does anybody have any other suggestions please?

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
Hi, I have checked and we have the latest update but this is still happening for us. Is there anything I need to update?

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
@CFirk Sky are taking a long time to find a solution to this problem but unfortunately all we can do is wait for them to find a fix. They thought they had one a couple of weeks ago and released an update but unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue.
The only temporary fix that I use is when the lip sync appears I flip to another channel and back again. So far this has always got the picture and sound back in sync (until it happens again).
EDIT - A few moments ago had to get BBC1 news back in sync with a flip of channels.
If my post has solved your issue please mark as an "Answer"
If it has helped please give it a "Like"

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
I'm new to this thread and shocked at how widespread the issue is. The lack of synchronisation is ridiculous - watching 6 Nations build up and it's at least 2 seconds out! I deliberately look away so as not to be distracted by it - so I may as well be listening to the radio.
I'll look back through the comments, but have Sky committed to doing anything to fix this - I thought it was meant to be sorted by end of Jan 2025 (unless I got the year wrong!!!)

Sky are aware and still working on fixing it.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
Yes they have said they're reviewing the issue however by the amount of people that have already been updated the update has not been successful 😡

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
Wonder how many sky glass TVs are affected by this. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the vast majority.

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
We had a NEW replacement Glass tv delivered yesterday as it kept freezing, turning off a problem with lip sync
Total waste of time, and it's still out of sync
We have been a Sky custom for 23years
Wish I kept my old TV

Re: Speech out of sync on Sky glass
Well I checked our main sky glass tv is on the latest release and the lip synch problem seems to be worse than ever. Changing channels and then back does fix it for a short time but doesn't last long.
have to say moving from Sky Q to glass and stream boxes was then worst decision I made.
