Be careful of the term 'upgrade'. Glass is a different type of system to Q or +HD.
If, for example, you have an 4K OLED TV with a Sky Q box attached then Sky Glass would most definitely not be an upgrade.
If you have a 4K smart LCD TV from the last 5 years or so with a Sky Q or Sky +HD box attached, then Sky Glass would quite likely not be an upgrade.
If, on the other hand, you have Sky Q attached to a fifteen year old Bush 720P TV from Argos, then yes, Sky Glass would be an upgrade.
First and foremost, if you are considering the switch to Glass, please make sure you have sufficient broadband infrastructure in place to support the service. Without a fast and stable network, Sky's streaming service, be it via Glass or Stream puck, can be pretty painful.
