Sky Glass program does not disconnect

If I have been watching TV in the morning and switch off, I find that when I switch it on again in the evening I can hear the previous program but there is no picture and only the menu. I cannot then connect to another channel without doing a reset. This happens at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Re: Sound still playing when switching on glass

I've been having the same issue , again both Paramount Plus and Channel 4.

With channel 4 particulary, if I turn my TV on and want to watch something else on a different app, it won't work. The only way to fix it, is to go into the 4 app, come out of the episode that's started playing (often not the one I was watching when I switched off) and go to the 4 menu.

Sometimes, I just have to turn my glass off at the wall and turn it back on.

It's quite annoying.

Re: Sound still playing when switching on glass

Has anyone got an answer to this? We are having the same issue. It's only channel 4 on demand and Paramount +. Sometimes it plays even with the TV on standby. Seems odd this has started playing up since Sky announced their Gen 2 sky glass.

Yes, I have the same issue on paramount +

Very annoying.

Re: Sound still playing when switching on glass

Same problem with my sky glass. I usually go into settings and reset the telly or refresh apps which helps for a while but the problem comes back and is really annoying.

Re: Sound still playing when switching on glass

yes i have the same, even with programmes i have finished watching on paramount, they start from the beginning.  To stop it i have to turn my sky glass off at the plug. I have gone into settings on paramount and turned off auto play as recpommended on another forum but no good.  The sound sometimes kicks in when the TV is off too, i was just in my living room the other day and the sound started but the screen was black.

I have paramount plus back now - I'll do some testing on my gen2 as the original issue was on my gen 1
