Sky Glass has a 3.1.2 setup. The 3 = left, centre and right speakers at the bottom, with most dialogue coming from the centre. The .1 is the subwoofer. The last .2 are the two up firing speakers for Atmos height channels.
The sound should overwhelmingly be coming from the bottom of the TV, dialogue mostly from the centre for most viewing content. With Atmos content, the height channels should be reproduced from the top of the TV. In terms of directionality/imaging, don't expect miracles - the Glass TV is a reasonably good sounding set for its budget but don't expect the wraparound/above effect of a full 5.1/7.1/Atmos seperate speaker system.

Phone Sky and tell them. They should swap it for another one. It's possible you got a refurbished set as your replacement and it wasn't checked properly before being sent out.

Yes, they often send out refurbished sets as replacements for faulty ones, or customers can purchase refurbished ones for less money than a brand new one.
If your original Glass TV was faulty from when you first got it then it should have been replaced with a brand new one.

Try opening the YouTube app and search for speaker test. Look for one that has a 5.1 audio test - this should play a sound through the main speakers individually - the left, right and centre speakers.
If it doesn't sound like there's anything coming from one of the speakers then you definitely need to get the TV swapped.
The upward speakers will only really be used if you play some Dolby Atmos programmes like Day Of The Jackal.

Wouldn't you have to submit issues during the cooling off period to get a new Glass TV as a replacement?
