Sky glass

Can we use our existing swing wall bracket to fix sky glass as we don't have a suitable wall to fix to.

The bolt spacing on Glass is 300x200 which is what VESA describe as a 'variation' of their standard, but a recognised one which a suitably scaled VESA mount should be able to cope with. However, as the rear of the set is recessed, spacers may well be required to use a bracket other than the one Sky provide.

Also note that Glass sets are heavy, and for any non-flush mount keep in mind the basic physics principle of the operation of a lever.

Re: Sky glass

What's the weight rating of the swing bracket and what sort of wall is it attached to?

What sort of bolts were used to attach the bracket to the wall?

Probably won't be the bracket itself which fails: an alarming percentage of pictures online showing televisions on the floor are where a 'swing out' bracket has levered itself off the wall.

Re: Sky glass

Hence the question wall type and type of bolts?

Although the rating of the bracket is also important🤔
