Sky glass voice control not working

Hi, the voice control isnt working. Pressing the blue button on the handset does work but the "hello sky" without remote doesnt. 
Ive turned off at the wall 

pressed 1 and 3

pressed 4 and 6

pressed 7 and 9 

Etc etc. 

this is a new tv (1 day old) after having my old one uplifted due to warranty issue.

Update. 

the microphone is turned on ( side button)

just not working "hello sky"
