I have to cancel subscription as it's too expensive. Will a fire stick allow me to watch bbc 1,2 and itv channel 4 etc

It will let you view on-demand content which may or may not be the same as what's available on the live broadcast channels.

Yes, a Firestick will allow you to watch free to air channels live. You can watch live TV via the BBC iPlayer app, the ITVX app and the Channel 4 app, Channel 5 via the My5 app as well as all the additional on demand programmes.
