Sky glass stuck on stand by ALL THE TIME

We've had sky glass for 5 days, whilst we like the product, we are getting hugely frustrated with the tv itself. 

It is effectively stuck on stand by, the red light is on, but the remote can't turn it on neither can voice commmands. 

 

We have changed the batteries in the remote, and reset the connection to the tv. The only thing that works seems to be a master reset by turning the mains power on and off before EACH USE of the tv. 

There is no issue with our power supply, and our WiFi speed is north of 50mbps.

unless there is a fix out there, we will be sending the tv back as this isn't an acceptable way to to view sky! 

has anyone had similar with a fresh out of the box Glass???

Had 3 55 inch glass TV's in less than 2 months,all were flawed in one way or another,2 of them had this issue and they had the cheek to question the quality of the WiFi that sky provided for the reason the TV wouldn't turn on!

Check your start up and standby settings.

 

Make sure 'network standby mode' is on, and 'overnight power sav9ng' is off.

 

If the problem persists, call Sky.

Do you have Sky WiFi max?

 

If not it is up to you to manage your local WiFi network with a mesh or extenders😉
