Sky glass stuck in software update

For the past 2 weeks I have had issues with my Sky and Sky Glass. I have contacted Ted Sky and 4 occasions who have told me to reset Sky glass etc etc. Nothing is working Sky are saying it's the broadband speed which is with another provider yet everything else running of the broadband is working fine including the other tv. Im at the end of my tether paying £80 for something that isn't working Has anyone else had issues

Firstly, what broadband speed do you get to your property. To run just the sky streaming platform you need a minimum. of 25-30 Mbps, although if you have other devices in use at the property at the same time as using the platform you would ideally need a higher speed.

If your broadband speed is sufficient, then next question is how do you have it connected to the internet, via Wifi or ethernet? A lot of customers get caught out if they are using Wifi as what is critical for the sky streaming platform is a strong and stable wifi connection, if the network is prone to interference and dropped packets it will typically cause issues. If you are are connected via Wifi i'd suggested testing using an ethernet cable, when doing this ensure you disable the Wifi in the Glass network settings and then reboot the Glass TV using the instructions below:

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.

Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.
