Yes. You need to ring Sky to do it.
You continue to pay off the cost of the Glass TV, cancel the streaming subscription and start a new Sky Q subscription with the Q box attached to the Glass TV via HDMI.

It's a nightmare with the bottom of the screen showing different menu - which if you try to exit from - sends you out of the program... any ideas welcome, thanks!

Have you set up as per the instructions here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connect-q-to-glass
Specifically:
Still seeing the Sky Glass menu (not the Sky Q menu)?
If you're seeing the Sky Glass menu when you press the Home button on your Sky Q remote, follow these steps.
Still seeing the Sky Glass menu? You'll need to get in touch to buy a Sky Q remote with voice control.
If your Sky Glass TV is set up and your remote can access the voice search, you can re-connect your Sky Q box
Hope this helps. MikeAlanR

Thank you. I get the Q home page side menu and can find programmes, it's just that there is an info box at the bottom of the screen with a different programme on it, which won't always go away... If in IPlayer or apps, the box at the bottom will actively impede finding what I'm looking for by accepting the remote control 'clicks' rather than (sometimes as well as) the main screen, which is 'underneath' ... (if you get what I mean) 🙂!!
