Sky glass screen shadow

Have a couple of small "shadows" on my sky glass screen, has anyone experienced this with their screen? I have contacted sky who have said they can replace via warranty but for some reason it won't allow them to process the replacement and are waiting on another department to look into this? Basically said I have to wait until the have an answer... screen is perfectly watchable so I can wait but on a bright picture, ie football match for instance the shadows stand out like a sore thumb!

sky have also said that the replacement would be a grade A refurbishment? Not sure I like the idea of that... anyone had the same?

Hi @171jon

It could be a genuine fault ( nature of the FALD panel used) or it could be that the bolts holding the screen into the display has been over tightened, try loosening them ever so slightly and see if it helps.

A refurbished unit is standard, sky will honour the warranty period you have left or 3 months, whichever is longer: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/warranty-sky-glass

@171jon

 I returned 3 sets back when I first had glass in April 22 all for shadowing issues under warranty

my advice would be to persist in calling sky and get a replacement
