Sky glass red light goes off. Won't work when light is off.

TV turns on with temote and goes to home screen. Then the red light on front of tv goes off and nothing works anymore. Just stays on home screen.

Hi @Keith+L.

The red standby light should go out when the TV is on. Try turning off at the mains for 10 minutes and try again. Also has the TV been working? Or is this a new set up? Is the connection to the internet stable?

Re: Sky glass red light goes off. Won't work when light is off.

Thanks. I'm actually posting for a friend who thinks the light should be on. The problem then becomes that the remote isn't working.  Tried all the help steps for frozen screen and remote not working but nothing worked. Guess she will try for another 24 hours to contact sky help by phone and the constantly on hold recommended, out of warranty repairers. She has had the Sky Glass for two years with no problem to-date until this. I will tell her the light should be off although her daugter has a Sky Glass and didn't contradict her Mum about the light should be on. Many thanks.
