Sky glass privacy

I've searched everywhere online I can think of. I still have no idea if sky glass has an in built camera. I know it has a microphone, which annoys me but I can live with. I also don't know what generation my sky glass is, and whether that makes a difference. I'd appreciate any information

Hi @Alicewonders

No Sky glass both Generations do not have a built in camera. It has an add on camera called Sky live. https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-tv/sky-tv-glass/sky-tv-live/sky-live-privacy/articles/sky-live-pri...

You man mute the far field mic using the button on the side or options in the menu (3 dots) and just use the mic button on the remote. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/voice-control-sky-glass

Hi @Alicewonders

info from February was the following were gen2 model numbers .....

LT143BLK, LT143BLU, LT143WHT
LT155BLK, LT155BLU, LT155WHT
LT165BLK, LT165BLU, LT165WHT

an easy way to tell which gen you have is by either the stand - gen 1 stand attaches to the back of the tv, gen 2 stand attaches underneath the tv

or by the main speaker fascia. Gen 1 is always black no matter what colour the tv. Gen 2 speaker fascia is colour matched to the tv

either way the camera is a separate unit that can be purchased separately as @mikealanr  mentioned

43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M500 on hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.
