Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
When I turn tv on or go from streaming to watch something different my programme doesn't load and I have to unplug and plug back in to fix it, happening more frequently and getting really fed up and wish I had never switched to sky glass there is always something not quite right.. this current issue was happening once every few weeks now it has happened twice in one week

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
@Juliebubb I don't see this message very often but when I do I switch to another channel for a few seconds and this will often resolve this issue.
If that doesn't work then I restart my puck (Glass in your case). To restart/reboot your Glass TV go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device (do not do a factory reset). It takes about 3 minutes to completely reboot. You will have a blank screen for a couple of minutes before the Sky logo appears so don't panic when you first start the process.
Good luck 🤞

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
I've suddenly started having issues when turning on tv
a message saying I need to refresh and needs me to turn off several times
everything appears to be slower
I've reported it but they have no idea how to resolve

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
Update to my previous response to @Juliebubb
I said I don't often see this problem but I was obviously tempting fate as It just happened to me. I tried changing the station for a few seconds but this didn't help so I rebooted and the issue was resolved (until the next time).

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
What I've realised since having Glass for 2 years is Sky are not equipped to deal with complaints and technical issues.
i was told they don't have engineers and all they advise is basic trouble shooting. I was told there are no known issues but this forum would suggest otherwise .
for months I've had to repeat myself send photos in and battle with some poor attitudes. On one occasion they blamed my tv and said as it's out of warranty it's my issue.
My advice is just think hard before taking out this service as I've had constant issues since day 1. They also blame my internet provider but I have 1GB speed and no issues.
no doubt mine will go to an ombudsman

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
An update on this one, it is happening abput once month, I know when it is going to happen because when I first turn tv on, the sound from my previously streamed show is playing in the background when normally it is silent when it turns on.... anyway the answer of turn it off at the wall and turn back on seems to fix the issue but very annoying and doesn't really fix it for good...

I've started getting the issue where the previous stream sound is still playing when I turn on glass. It's mostly paramount plus and potentially one of the kids is not exiting the app properly before turning the tv off.........

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
I have resorted to exiting the app properly and watching another live show before turning off and it still happens xx

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
Yes me too ... I've tried everything but my internet provider BRSK warned me about keep resetting router
it's the attitude of sky saying " no known issues" which annoys me

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
I'm seeing the problem as well - and it's constant. Had other problems as well - managed to get the All4 app running at the same time as Disney+ the other day - both playing audio streams!
Paid off the TV an my wife just wants me to dump it now and we move away from Sky - we end up watching most things from non-Sky apps anyway,.

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
I phoned sky and was told that the sky glass tv settings was set to wifi when I was actually using an ethernet cable.. I changed the setting from WiFi to not WiFi and it has fixed everything x

Re: Sky glass message waiting for programme to load
I've tried both wired (100Mbps connector in the TV - really???) and WiFi and it doesn't really make a difference. I run a 10Gbps wired / WiFi 7 network through the house and got 2Gbps symmetric fibre link with fixed IP and really low latency so it's not the network. The only thing left to try on the network is getting rid of secure DNS and to try IPv6 just in case there's any hidden delays there. I've even been running a network check continuously just in case there are issues (there aren't).
Given that it's when the Home button gets pressed I think it's more likely to be either rubbish software in the TV or the servers over in Sky. It looks like it's either purged its cache of TV guide, pretty buttons etc and needs to get them again or the ageing of the cache is broken. Same result - still looks like it's redownloading the menu content.
