I also get the screen lighting up issue and the buzzing starts at exactly 2.25 every day. I have changed loads of settings, but it makes no difference.
It's obviously not a problem with a certain batch since you have had two new sets, but it's odd there's not more people complaining, since it seems like all sets are potentially affected.
What size set do you have, mine is 43 inch.?

Hi
I have the 55", the noise seems to be worse at the bottom left corner where the power outlet is , who ever I spoke to yesterday kept saying well I've never heard of this so I came back to thread and started reading all the replies off , they are hoping to come back with a solution tomorrow, but definitely not going to pay £900+ for a tv which is faulty out of the box .

I need to contact them about mine really. To be honest, I expected it to be fixed with a software update, since it seems to have started with one.
There's enough evidence in this thread to easily diagnose the problem (all started mid to late December, all start buzzing early in the morning), it just needs to be read by the right team - I'd start with whichever dev team releases software updates.

She did say even if it's out of warranty they may be able to help especially if it's a software issue , hope we all get a solution.

Welll I was on with sky last Monday, I was told that they have no other reports on the system about this problem and they told me to change a setting ( power saving). They called me back on Wednesday to see if it helped. I told him it didn't and problem was still there.. I told them about this sky community and he said that they don't look at this nor take their list of issue from this as complaints😂 I'm still none the wiser

Looks like there was a software update around 14th December, which (assuming it's a software issue) would appear to be the culprit

Sky don't seem to publish a list of the changes in each update, else it may be quite obvious what the problem is.

I read her all the replies on here and she just said well no one else has reported it.
I'm on my third tv so clearly there is a wider issue of brand new sets are doing the same , this one has the added bonus of turning itself on and off , motion and voice settings are off , I was asked if I'd recommend sky glass by someone today 🤣🤣

Don't forget the sound sync issue too, though there's a fix being rolled out for that.
Software updates seem to making everything worse - their QA process must be non-existent.

We are having the exact same issue, which started in December time. We notice it more as the tv is in our bedroom.
In standby mode, the tv starts a low whirring noise and this appears to start in the early hours of the morning. It seems to come from the actual standby red light, or middle of the speak area.
When we turn the tv on again it stops the noise. Leave it off overnight, and by the morning it's making the noise again.
I called Sky (in January 25) and they hadn't heard of the issue before, and told me to buy a replacement tv as ours was out of warranty. Alternatively they advised me to purchase their overpriced insurance and get the tv repaired through that method. Not good customer service.

Maybe it's time this was all reported to the watchdogs. Clearly the complaints are being made to sky and probably being recorded phone calls could be traced. Yet we are all being told that they haven't heard of the issue before. Everyone that has the same issue had it start at nearly same time.

I've been escalted to a back team whatever that is as I have said I am not paying for a further 2 and half years for something faulty straight out of the box, I was advised last night that there is a second gen tv due out but I was told I may not be eligible for that as it could be like for like replacement so I guess I just have to keep organising a replacement once a week until I get one that works as should or someone higher up realises that there is a huge issue here . It appears everyone's started mid December too . Surely someone from Sky must monitor these forums ?
