Thats the thing with online reviews, they will on average trend more negatively as most people wouldn't take the time to write a positive review online, whereas when people have things to complain about they will take the time.

Undoubtedly some people would have had issues with the Gen 2 Sky Glass, its not uncommon for mass produced equipment to have issues in the manufacturing process where a batch has issues/defects, however the number of people who report issue on this forum would be in the minority if you consider the number of customers who have actually bought a the product.

Re: Sky glass gen 2 65 inch

@Markpage I had a Gen One for over three years then got the Gen Two in early March. I can see and hear the step up between the two generations.

It hasn't been a trouble free upgrade. I had to exchange the first Gen Two I received due to a panel fault within the first few days and there is currently an ongoing issue with the firmware that Sky needs to fix that has been ongoing since early April for me.

It's my sole TV and meets what I need from a TV on the whole and solved a problem where I couldn't have Q in my rental property. I do think Q is the best Sky product but don't regret moving to Glass when I did.

The balance of posts in any support forum are overwhelmingly negative because by definition people who aren't experiencing issues rarely post there.

The Gen 2 is undoubtedly better than the Gen 1: whether that makes it a good television compared to others at similar price points is rather different.
