I'm just wondering why sky have made a TV that has less technology in it than we are used to these days? You can't even plug a usb stick in to one, or connect your phone to one, if you have the TV wall mounted accessing the ports is almost impossible! I'm starting to regret ever getting one!

Presumably because it was conceived to be a bespoke platform for the delivery of Sky subscription content, rather than as a general purpose display monitor.
It's also worth noting that the current Glass model is a pandemic product, and manufacture was during the depths of the silicon component shortage.
