Sky glass TV sound issues

Sky glass TV sound.

Sound was good and then suddenly last night.

There is no voice sounds but background sound music etc is working just no voices.  Music was the Only viewing mode that was working correctly but tonight all modes are the same.

Background and music sound ok but cannot hear the speech.

Re: Sky glass TV sound issues

Do you  have enhanced speech quality  on, bass boost  on ? Auto volume  correction  on ,and virtual  surround sound  on  ? All in the settings,  picture  and sound

Also is audio output on tv speakers  and not on anything  else, also after  checking  all this try turning  the tv of at the  wall  for  10 minutes  unplug  it leave then turn it  back on, if that doesn't  work  you  need to  sky

Re: Sky glass TV sound issues

One more thing to check in the settings  is digital audio  output is set to auto, and not pcm stereo, or pass through

Re: Sky glass TV sound issues

Same problem with a Sky Glass

Since Christmas/ New Year we've been subject to increasingly frequent speech synchronicity problems & last 2 weeks been daily & noticeably prolonged duration.
The usual high tech switch off at SSO for a bit provided temporary relief
Then at lunch time today the volume decreased with nobody near the remote control - ghosts?
As I reached for the remote and tried to increase the volume - all speech ceased to be audible at all - a few faint remnants of background noises & music remained.
I checked across a selection of channels & apps & plugged in DVD player .
Channel 5 still talking, S4C had some crowds cheering but BBC 1 & 2 were mute, ditto Sky channels, Netflix, DVD - non HD channels less of a problem
Checked Glass sound settings.
Shut down TV at mains for umpteenth time
Shut down and restart my dual-band Hub
Restarted Sky
No difference,
In desperation trawl through the Sky Help system.
Told by Sky support person the TV is 100% on 2.4 GHz WiFi and it needs to be 100% on 5GHz band.
The TV has been fine for >2 years..... people chatting away on the 2.4 GHz band on all TV channels & apps.
Nothing has changed, no equipment has been added or even moved, no obstructions built.

Pure serendipity of course by helpfully sent information about the Sky Glass Gen 2
'...re-engineered to project even richer 360° cinematic sound. The enhanced Dolby Atmos® sound system now has seven speakers, including a soundbar and dual subwoofer built-in, and has been designed to deliver a richer bass with improved vocal clarity....' OldCardiffGirl_2-1740866043527.png
OldCardiffGirl_3-1740866043534.png..... I'll settle for being able to hear the dialogue,^
They still haven't fully resolved the subtitle & synchronisation problems they launched with over 2 years ago - still have to do the 'switch it off then on' high-tech fix
My Hub manual says it automatically responds to the device 'request' and toggles band to accommodate.
lady from Sky said they need me to switch off internet but wouldn't tell me what they intended to do
So do I force 5GHz or chuck Sky Glass 1 in the bin.... lash out for all new improved Sky Glass Gen 2 and hope Sky will have sorted the 'teething troubles' will eventually sort themselves out before Sky Gen 3 in 2 years time or I need dentures?

Can't even watch most DVD's  it so irritating but think perfect to watch Battleship Potyemkin & Aleksandr Nyevsky
Grateful for any help
