Works fine on mine. Not had to repeat the procedure.
Do you use bluetooth headphones?
If you do, perhaps setting the audio back to TV speakers before you switch off may cure it?

Yes it does seem to be Bluetooth headphone related. For some reason it doesn't always automatically reselect TV output when you disconnect the headphones.

I use tv speakers and m, sometimes, earbuds. If I turn the tv on without buds it's muted and I need to press the volume up to get sound.
To make the mute work correctly I have to go to ... and select buds and the reselect tv speakers. Then all works OK - until the next time I use my ear buds.
