Has anybody noticed that when they push the volume mute on the remote control, it doesn't actually mute the sound anymore? It just reduces it in volume a bit. This is only started happening this morning and anybody had any similar problems.?

I have managed to fix this!
I had exactly the same issue, it started a few days ago after I'd connected my bluetooth headphones for the first time?
I was able to fix it by pressing the the three dots button on the remote "..." top left. Then selected "Audio Output" and clicked on "TV Speakers", which was unticked for some reason, when I think it should be ticked by default?
Now works fine. Good luck.
(I'm on OS 1.3, Build version: QS033.014.00P. Remote control firmware: 5103.4.8)

My Glass TV updated to QS033 overnight, and I now have the same problem, and more....
When turning the set on, the first channel I select has no sound until the volume is turned up or down. This can be from the guide, continue watching or the apps (Netflix, Amazon, etc.)
Mute moves the volume graphic to minimum, but the volume stays the same.
Reducing the volume to minimum mutes the sound.

Just to add, restarting the TV or unplugging for 30 minutes made no difference.

Brilliant, that's fixed mine too.
Quite surprising though, as the only Bluetooth device I have connected is the TV remote!

Ah ha , don't know how u managed it but great Scot , it works now ! I can mute with the mute button .

I've had problems since update, with mute not working unless I cover IR end of remote, and occasionally when I press volume up, it keeps increasing on its own.
I have soundbar setup thro ARC.

This solution (to Sky's created problem) seems only temporary? I've had to repeat this procedure for a third time already.

Mines been fine since i fixed it, fingers crossed it stays that way. Do love the sky glass though
