Sky Glass picture issue

Recently started to get pixelation occasionally for first time

BT fibre excellent very fast

Today suddenly  had a huge overlay of yellow covering around 80% of the screen !

Remaining 20% is normal colour of screen

Appears on all channels

Sky community suggests new screen as can't be corrected by reset

Not sure if they send out engineers / costs etc ?

Bit unknown

Don't hold out much hope from Sky customer  services esp as warranty has expire 😞

Whats best thing to do ?

Thx

Re: Sky Glass picture issue

Hi I didnt think that would solve things

I thought Sky had engineers who can pay

I wouldn't buy another one

@Rainloz

Remove the plug from the wall for a few minutes then plug back in and allow the TV to reboot. If this doesn't clear it you'll need to ring Sky for further troubleshooting.

If you are outside your 2 year warranty period and do not have any form of paid for extended warranty you'll need to continue to pay off anything you still owe for the TV and buy a new one.

@Rainloz

There's no 'engineer' support for Glass: that's a business model for the legacy satellite television platforms which doesn't apply to online content delivery.

Historically the reason Sky had a national fleet of installers was it's not particularly reasonable to expect householders to put up their own satellite dishes...
