No but they include software update with all the bluetooth codes, not just just specific codecs

Re: Sky Glass - a discriminatory and poorly developed product.

I just came across this thread. I am a cochlear implant user implanted with Cochlear N7 and have a tv streamer however as we all know, well as I do now, it's completely useless to use with Sky Glass. Does anyone know of a fix? I tried an HDMI output adaptor but it didn't work - may be it wasn't the right one to use I don't know..but if anyone can help  that would be amazing. Oh and Sky are useless. Trying to get help from them is like trying to get help from a toddler.

Re: Sky Glass - a discriminatory and poorly developed product.

Hi

Ive not come across an answer to the problem - I have complained to Sky and my MP to no avail. I get round this by watching programmes via Sky Go or BBC iPlayer on my iPhone and streaming this way.
The audiologist team who did my Cochlear Implant were surprised that Sky Glass was not able to be streamed to the implant and Sky have no plans to do so. I have also had cause to deal with Sky recently via their accessibilty team and have consolidated my opinion that they only play lip service to considerations of disability, merely ticking boxes and lauding the availability of their accessibility team when they haven't the first understanding of the needs of disabled customers. I have pointed out to them they would do well not to underestimate the purchasing power and voice of the disabled pound - I am gradually, when contacts end, as a result of their institutional discrimination, moving my TV, Broadband, Talk and Mobile to other providers.

Good luck - and sorry I have. I answer.

I have to use an audio extractor and then use a streamer attached to that!

@Mazz1

you mentioned that you use audio extractor and then attached the TV streamer - can you please explain..

I am a cochlear user and use TV streamer for my cochlear but no joy due to no optical output on the sky glass.. have this been solved? What adapter do I need to buy ? As I have heard that if you use the hdmi adapter to optical - it muted the sounds which means the rest of the family can't hear the TV..

Hoping this has been solved..

cheers

Re: Sky Glass - a discriminatory and poorly developed product.

I'm very late to the party but I'm completely frustrated as up until a couple of months ago I was able to connect my NHS Phonak hearing aids to my Sky Glass TV. Then, without warning this wasn't possible. After several phonecalls to Sky someone finally told me hearing aids were not supported. This was after several operators had tried to guide me through possible answers to the problem, none of which telling me they were no longer supported. Have Sky made an official statement to this effect? It's impossible to have a sensible conversation with anyone about thus, which is very frustrating as once upon a time I found Sky operators very helpful. 🥵

I'd think that's extremely unlikely to be the case, and would have generated many more posts here.

I've just accessed Sky Help pages and sadly it clearly states "At the moment we DONT support bluetooth hearing aids".  Shocking.

And hugely out of date: support was added several firmware updates ago, as you indicated in your initial post.  It's certainly possible the most recent release broke that widely, but I'd have anticipated more posts.
