My Sky Glass Remote works fine for as long as you're using it, but as soon as you turn the TV onto standby for a prolonged period, overnight for example, when you go to turn it back on with the remote it doesn't work. The remote lights up as it should but pressing buttons does nothing. The only solution I've found is to remove and re-insert one of the batteries and then it works. Rolling the batteries doesn't work. Does anyone else have this issue or know how it can be resolved?

You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth. Even though it sounds an unlikely solution it has got many faulty remotes working again (including mine on two occasions).
If none of the above help then I would request a replacement at the following link: Streaming TV replacement remote
If you have one available you can use a Sky Q remote while you wait for a replacement.
