For the price they charge they should have fixed it already. I've had nothing but pro lems with sky. I think the best option would be to leave sky and and go with a different provider.

Yeah, you're totally correct Mark...so I've stopped listening to Phil Collins 'Against All Odds' via Sky t/c ... hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.

Okay. So I came to my Sky Glass this evening and there was no standby light. I followed all the instructions on site (switch off, hold standby button, switch on, hold until the standby light flashes ... all of which required a certain amount of contorsionism on my part [now I know how Houdini got out of the boxes but he didn't have one of these pants TV's to contest with ... just a normal pair of Y-Fronts] and the TV goes through the software update and then reverts to its previous catatonic state ... no standby light, no life).
My guess is that Sky sent down a software update which they hadn't tested sufficiently ... with a bug which has sent every blasted machine into hibernation.
Of all the TV's I have owned this is the one that has promised the most (better than OLED screen, THE best sound) and has delivered least ... its software is buggy, the sound isn't as good as my Q Aucoustics soundbar (which I can't connect to the flaming Sky Glass because the manufacturers were so **bleep**-sure they didn't provide for any connectivity other than bluetooth and if I connect via that I get sound from both units with a slight delay on one ... I can't recall which). As for the screen and picture quality ... meh. It too is buggy and switches off from time to time (black screen, blue screen I've had 'em all). Sky Glass scores a big fat zero from me. I'm only sorry that I was so convinced that I bought one. Now I have to eBay it and find a proper TV.

My sky broadband is fine but the sky glass tv is not working. Just says outage since 4pm. Can Sky Glass tv's be hacked? Just wondering.......... as when they don't give you a reason it usually means......

Not all bad, Ive just received my first forum badge and have been congratulated, if only I could share this news via the Sky Glass camera with friends and family.

Sky very rarely give detailed information on problems and fixes - that's their policy.

Exactly my situation. Not even a hint of when it may be fixed. There should be a compensation scheme...

Same here, even rebooting is not helping.
It's downloading the updates and going to sleep mode again, even the red light is not popping.

Rather than keep taking our money, can't they just admit this skyglass thingy has been a massive technical step backwards. Let's go back to skyq and what not til they get their act together. Surely a mass recall is required. Do we have to get consumer watchdogs and Ofcom involved?

Also providing any more detailed information is usually not helpful for customers.
Companies will rarely publish any ETCs and those that do tend to do so once the fix has been proven to work and is in the process of being rolled out.
ETCs are impossible to provide accurately for tech issues as even the tech teams wouldn't be able to tell you accurately how long it would take to identify the cause of the problem and then implement a fix.
