This isn't true – Sky's delivery partners do offer this and I've used it myself.
When you order the Gen 2, you'll get an email with a "Track my delivery" link. When you click on that link, there is an option to "Upgrade my delivery", when you click that there is a "TV recycling" option for £15. (Highlighted below). If you select this, the delivery team will take your old TV away for recycling at the same time. I did this and it worked fine.

No, Sky's delivery partners do not take away old TVs for recycling.
I'd advise keeping your old TV until you've decided whether Sky Glass is right for you. I returned my gen 2 Glass after a few days as the quality was poor for the money.

They won't but this website provides a good guide on where you can recycle: https://www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk/how-to-recycle-electronics/

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2
Hi, did you have a Sky Q box before you bought the Glass t v , if so could you go back to it when you returned the Sky Glass, I am wondering whether to go over to Glass but wondered about "Burning my bridges" if I didn't like it , thanks Jean.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2
@Jeanrose You can revert back to Q within 31 days delivery of the tv if you want to return the tv or anytime after as the Q can connect to the glass via hdmi

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2
Hi @Jeanrose You can return to Sky Q (but not Sky HD) if you decide to cancel Glass within the 31 day cooling off period. As you cannot have 2 Sky accounts at the same time you may end up with a few days of no service during the transition.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2
One thing you need to be aware of is that if you return Sky Glass during the cooling off period there is a £25 return fee to pay.
(Also, take pictures/video of the TV before returning in case of disputes).

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2
I've had Sky Glass (gen 2) 65 inch for a couple of days and am not impressed at all with the picture quality, so I will be returning mine as soon as possible and reverting to SkyQ.
It seems that arranging the return can't be done online, so I'll have to call them, unless anyone here knows how to do it.

Re: Sky Glass Gen 2
Yeah you're best to call them @Paul_F
You can use the Sky Help portal to contact Sky. You can click "Need more help?" at the bottom, and within that content you will see a phone number (we can't post phone numbers in this community).

Be aware there is a £25 fee to pay if you're returning the TV. Take photos/video as well in case of disputes.
