Sky Glass Connection issue

I tried to connect my Sky Glass to the WiFi in my apartment but failed. The property told me that I couldn't use other broadband services other than that. How can I start my TV using the WiFi service in my room?

Many thanks.

Is this a managed internet service which requires you to submit a device MAC address?

OK: that's a bit of a problem because I don't think it's possible to get to a menu item that shows a MAC address until the set is activated.

Re: Sky Glass Connection issue

But the broadband provider requires me to register the MAC first before connecting to the device.

I understand: unfortunately this doesn't appear to be a situation which Sky anticipated when they designed the Glass system (and decided not to include a MAC address label)

To be fair, no domestic broadband has such a requirement: it's only found in managed environments.
