Shocking quality

New sky glass returned, continually going blue, no internet, technical faults etc etc. BRSK internet fine, fast speed. Kept having to reboot and return to factory settings. Spoke to customer services who to be fair were helpful. Final straw on Saturday when again, the same happened. Customer services were great and a new Sky Glass arrived Sunday. No problem until today....white crackly screen, loud noise, remote unresponsive. Had to turn off at the plug. It seems it's a common problem.....why don't Sky sort it out?? Definitely will not be renewing my contract, sadly another 20 months to go!!

Re: Shocking quality

@Chris574 Request another replacement. You're still within your warranty period. It's just bad luck you've possibly got two faulty units in a row.

I had to send my first Gen Two back after less than a week due to a faulty panel. Not had any problems with my second one, other than a recent firmware issue that now looks to have been resolved.

Re: connection issues - though you can connect via WiFi most have found using ethernet to connect is more stable and more reliable. If you do connect via ethernet turn off WiFi in the Settings.

Cheers, I do use the Ethernet cable, I will check tonight if the WiFi is turned off. Hopefully it will settle. I'll give it a couple of days and if it happens again, I'll request another

Re: Shocking quality

@Chris574 Unless you turn WiFi off the Glass treats WiFi as the priority way to connect even with ethernet plugged in. Fingers crossed that helps maintain connection for you. I've not had any connection issues with the Gen Two. Indeed, with the Gen One after getting ethernet after a week of constant WiFi dropouts I had no further issues either.

It's also a good idea to have Network Standby set to On and Overnight power saving set to Off.

The white screen, crackling etc seems more of an issue. Hope it doesn't turn terminal.
