Series dis appearing on apps after searched for

I have searched series on bbc I pkayer my 4 and sky they initially show all series and episodes but then at random whole series dis appear or randon

episodes go. 
why is this

pkease do not suggest that I reboot or switch off the tv at the plug. I have also refreshed all the spps

So you have have power off at the Plug ... Waited 2 minute ... and powered on .... That's a good starting point😉
