There are numerous threads on this forum about faulty remotes which have some suggestions to get the remote working again.
The most popular method (as silly as it sounds) is to hold the remote at both ends and to twist it (similar to ringing out a cloth). This has worked for numerous people including me.
If that doesn't work you could try the method given as the "Answer" to the following tread:

Even if one of these methods solves the problem I would still give Sky a call and ask for a replacement remote.
If neither method works and if you have one available you can use a Sky Q remote whilst you wait for the replacement to arrive.
