I guess they might be counting each of the Sky Live games as an app, but it's a bit of a stretch given only a small subset of Glass users will have a Live camera (and there aren't that many games anyway)
Also 'new channels' aren't an OS thing: that's just catching up with the satellite platforms.
Maybe the Marketing Department has been imbibing the Christmas cheer a bit early.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more"Over 500 new features and improvements" is also a bit rich if that's 11 additions and 490 bug fixes. Good to have, but not necessarily to boast about.

No Amazon music app on mine, and definitely not that many apps. I have sky live too, still falling short of the number mentioned in the email!

Is it a case of 'Lies, damn lies and statistics'?

Hi I got an email today purporting to be from sky @ email. contact .sky is this a legit email address I've never seen it before? The email suggested that sky stream has been upgraded to include 90 new apps including amazon music but I haven't seen any of that on my stream box. (Republic of Ireland user)

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@dermotjames that looks like a marketing email and all Stream customers looked to have received it, myself included.
It does seem like a lot of factually inaccurate or "bending of the truth" contained in that email though

Well, as far as I'm aware, I'm on the latest update (QS023.010.00P - EOS: 1.2) and have a total of 51 apps across everything so Sky, where exactly are my missing 39 apps please?
Lies, lies, lies.

Perhaps a Sky employee would like to comment...then again, perhaps not🤪.

I was about to post the same thing then saw this thread.
I was confused when reading it thinking, yes where are all these new features and apps exactly. I thought maybe I was missing something or didn't have the latest update but not the case. How can they say these things if not true ? 🤔

Posted by a Sky employeeHi Everyone
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We've spoken to the team regarding this information and can confirm the wording should have reflected all apps that have been on the platform, since the initial launch. This includes games that have launched and closed, or were available for a certain period of time ie Xmas, Easter, Halloween versions of games from our partners across the service.

So the email was all smoke and mirrors then...
