Hi all of a sudden my sky glass has started turning subtitles on by itself. I turn them off, then when I put another channel on, guess what, subtitles again.

This is also happening with mine it's annoying as they don't go with what's been said it's so far behind and I have to turn them off now all the time if this is an update they need to fix it

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Eleanor9839 There are 2 ways to turn off the subtitles one is by pressing the 3 white dots on your remote and then selecting the subtitles.
The other way is through the settings / accessibility menu where you can switch off the subtitles. Make sure subtitles are turned off here.

The reason I ask is if subtitles are ON in that menu and you then turn them off using the 3 white dots button on your remote (just below the power button) they will come back on when you change to another channel (Which is the issue you are having).
If you already have subtitles off in the settings menu then I don't know what else to suggest other than a reboot (turn off at the plug socket for 30 seconds and then turn on again).
Good luck 🤞

I had the same problem the subtitles kept switching on when changing channels and solved it by turning them off by saying "hello sky turn off subtitles".
It works 🙂

They need to be turned off in both menus - that's the only way I stopped them recurring on Sky Q
