Quote for broken Sky glass

I need a quote from Sky for a new sky glass as my TV is broken and they flat out refuse to give me a written quote, has anyone else had this problem? And if so how did you fix it? I can't make a claim for a broken TV as they won't tell my insurance how much they need paid to sort it, absolute lunacy. Absolutely fuming about the lack of help or assistance they're providing.

The cash price of Glass television sets is given on the website: as @Exiled-in-HH indicates, Sky has no obligation to 'sort out' a unit which has suffered accidental damage other than by selling a replacement, and CS staff probably have no mechanism for generating an insurance quote.

 

Details of the designated repair partner are given here:

They will quote for repair, but don't do screen replacement (the most common damage type) because that's not economically viable.

It's been reported in other discussions that Sky do not repair Sky Glass TVs they just replace within the warranty period... you don't get a new TV just a refurbished return😉

I know they'll give me a refurbished one, but they won't write down what that costs for me to hand over to the insurance, they've told me on the phone it's £624, but won't send me that in writing to hand over 🙄

In what way is the Glass TV broken?

4 weeks old, I'll give the number a call for the repair people above for a quote on Monday when they open, hopefully they'll be able to help. Thanks for your help guys 👍

Advice from Sky is that they don't supply replacement screens to repairers.

I had the same problem my warranty had just run out all they could do is offer me a new one so I'm paying for two of them now I have ask about all over if anybody can fix or put new screen in but no one does it and sky where no use all they did was give me a new one so I'm in more debt with them sorry I can't be more help
