I used to have a bazillion channels now I've only got a few hundred!!!
Last time I did the spreadsheet, Glass/Stream has about 125 unique 'channels' in Ultimate TV while the satellite EPG lists around 240 on a 'Signature' subscription (excluding Radio, +1 services and channels requiring individual additional monthly payment)

*Internet*: Sky Glass is terrible, I've lost all my shopping channels, I used to have a bazillion channels now I've only got a few hundred!!!
*Also the internet*: Why are Sky adding shopping channels, no one wants them!
Why are you inventing people in your head to get angry about? The vast majority of people on this forum are saying that, while shopping channels aren't personally their cup of tea, they are happy that they are being added for those that enjoy them. The rest are saying they do enjoy shopping TV so are happy with the news.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDo shopping channels still do that thing where they drop the price for the final few seconds of the listing?
Be interesting to hear if the live lag on Stream causes any issues with that.

Further to your post, TBH I find it amazing that people still complain about missing channels when they have not done the most basic research before subscribing. As you know, a brief look on the Sky web pages will give the information concerning what channels are, and are not, available on Sky Glass.

When Sky advertise the product as "it's Sky, just without the dish", then it's fair for people to assume that it has feature parity with "Sky with the dish", instead of over a hundred channels missing and no recording.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Artisans 😀. I understand what you are saying but at the end of the day it is up to an individual to know what they are purchasing. Maybe it is just me but I never make a significant purchase without doing some sort of research. I admit that, like everyone else, I still make mistakes with purchases but I can't then blame someone else because I make a bad choice.

I'm kind of with you in that Sky advertising tends to very much over egg their product, often either Glass & stream does not match reality. They still use the term "recording" for stream which is ridiculous and probably on that alone you'd have a good case to argue false advertising and cancel your contract albeit they'd say it records to the cloud. There is recording and recording! Maybe they should say Stores not record.
Of course the lack of channels is not mentioned in adverts you never usher in a negative. Alongside all the bugs and technical hitches that over this past month appear to be growing not reducing.
One thing I learnt long ago, you have to ignore the glittery ads and research. At least these days if a product isn't fit for purpose or miss sold you have a right to return and have a full refund.
Personally the channels not available I wouldn't have watched anyway but it was the poor tech and software glitches that did it for me and even after six months all was cancelled, compensation paid twice actually during that period.
Do your research and sadly you have to 'politely' fight your battle if you are in the right.

Definitely not a fan on shopping channels cluttering up the EPG but I did go and have a quick look to see if they were as bad as when I had Sky last decade ... and dunno if anyone else has noticed, but there is a massive lipsync issue on my glass TV ... the audio is noticeably and painfully ahead of the video 🤣 ... it's so bad it looks like a dubbed foreign language programme 😖🤣
