Prices of refurbished sky glasses.
My child has broken a second! Sky glass screen its not insured.........because like my son i dont learn from my mistakes lol. I dont fancy paying £450 to outright buy it again only have about £360 left to pay on contract. So my question is are the refurbished tvs cheaper and if so how much? trying to find the price on sky without commiting to a contract is like trying to find water in the desert

Re: Prices of refurbished sky glasses.
@Newskycustomer You're going to have to call Sky to see what the cost would be for a refurbished set, if they have any, the community of customers don't have access to that information.

Re: Prices of refurbished sky glasses.
@Newskycustomer The refurbs are around half full price directly from sky that's if they give you the option as they could turn round and say you need to buy a new one outright whilst still paying for the original if brought on finance
alternatively look for second hand units on well known auction sites

Re: Prices of refurbished sky glasses.
Yeah i already bought one outright after the one in co tract was broke still paying that off. Looked on said sites and people are asking stupid prices for a item that is limited to a small section of people. Guess am going to have to take the plung and ring sky to get a price and hope the sale team is in a good mood!

Alternatively buy a decent second hand smart TV and switch to Sky Stream. Glass TVs are at least 3 years old now.

There's a 43" Sky Glass on eBay for £195 at the moment. If there's a risk of another breakage due to wayward children then it's not worth spending much more.
Perhaps also add accidental damage cover to your home contents insurance...

And about the same again to ship it ; (
I'm not sure the £5.88 the vendor quotes is quite going to cover things, and the Yodel driver is going to be very unhappy....
Realistically only 'buyer-collects' is viable.

Re: Prices of refurbished sky glasses.
I purchased a 55 set from a social media marketplace (reasonably local) for £200
you may find making someone - low offer will be accepted as there is not much market for them outside the sky ecosystem
43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M350 hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.
