Re: Paramount plus basic to standard
Let's face it - when the option is offered to upgrade to tier 2 or 3 to get rid of the ads during Mobland - we will all be doing it. Let's hope they use that extra revenue to keep producing quality content.
(here because I wanted to see if I could upgrade Paramount+)

You can't your service you agreed to has been diminished and you're still paying the same amount.

It's all perspective.
I wanted Sky Cinema. I subscribed to sky Cinema and when I found out Paramount was thrown in for free ... Brucey Bonus.
As has already been said, the option to upgrade Paramount is not available - yet. And when it's offered, I'll snap that up.

Re: Paramount plus basic to standard
As I watch a lot of progamming on Paramount+ (bit of a Trekkie), I've signed up directly with Paramount using a different email address to the one I use for Sky. Sign out of Paramount on Sky, sign back in with new Paramount ID and I now enjoy UHD and Atmos (I have a full Atmos soundbar with sub and rears) through the original tile on the "Apps and Inputs" rail.
To offset some of the cost, I've cancelled Prime Video as I wasn't using it.
I know this isn't everyone's ideal solution, but it works for me.

Re: Paramount plus basic to standard
Well done @BrynMeurig at last someone has used some common sense and instead of moaning about the free Paramount + with adverts you have used your initiative and done the obvious and signed up directly to an add free subscription. The only limitation being having to use a different email address but that only takes a few minutes to set up.
Getting Paramount + for free with Sky Cinema was never advertised as with or without adverts as no such options existed when it was introduced. Paramount later changed the goalposts by following the example of Netflix and introducing the different tiers. I'm sure at some time Paramount will negotiate with Sky to allow them to sell the different subscriptions (as Sky do with Netflix) but until then the obvious thing is to subscribe direct to Paramount as you have done.

Re: Paramount plus basic to standard
I have three different Gmail addresses for different purposes, so I just used my social media one to sign up for Paramount+.
The UHD picture quality and the Atmos sound are worth every penny of the subscription fee.
