The current Glass model is now three years old, but yes, it was something of an omission even at launch in 2021. One possibility is that the chipsets and PCBs available in bulk at that time (during the pandemic silicon component crisis) didn't permit inclusion, or it may have been a design choice specifically to minimise ports.

Re: Optical out put
There is no optical audio output socket on the current Glass television set.
Some users have been successful with adding an external (e)ARC HDMI audio extractor, but that's far from guaranteed.
It's also now possible to pair some (but not all) Bluetooth receiver devices with Glass.

Re: Optical out put
Hi @Mortified
No there isn't an optical output. It supports eArc or Bluetooth.

Re: Optical out put
Haven't the Sky Accessibility Team produced a solution for this issue?
There should be a recommendation for a HDMI to TOSlink converter that WORKS🤔

Not as far as I'm aware. I'm sure their lawyers can argue about the definition of 'reasonable adjustment' in this context but I believe that applies to sectors such as employment and non-domestic environments rather than consumer product design.

Re: Optical out put
The Sky Acceesibiility Team exists to address such issues ... is there information available to say Sky Glass TVs do not work with loop link hearing aid systems🤔

Re: Optical out put
Loop systems running on optical audio are now somewhat archaic: many recent hearing aid models will pair directly using Bluetooth.
I suspect the Accessibility team would be reluctant to suggest any particular audio extractor because the specification and availability of such things is distinctly variable.

Re: Optical out put
Well if you have the money to pay hundreds of pounds for blue tooth hearing aids that's fine. The ones on the NHS are basic and the loop system you have to pay for yourself and they are not cheep
