On programmes such as 5 Action despite ticks showing both parts of the film will be recorded only 1s

On certain programmes such as 5 Action and similar that are split in the middle for some kind of channel news etc, despite seeing ticks to record both parts only ever the forst is recorded. I've tried ticking both parts seperately and also the split in the middle and only ever get the first part, which is most frustrating.

Unfortunately this has long been an issue with glass and stream. There is no fix
