Moving sky glass tv to household already with sky
Hi
I have a quesiton re sky glass and moving. im being evicted and i am moving in with my partner who already has sky. He does not have sky glass so i want to take that with me. I am locked into a contract until 2027 however i wanted to understand if i could just hook my sky glass up to his internet even if my sky account is closed? would it work or would i need a new subscription? i.e is the TV tied to my account? i only have a few more payments before i own the tv outright so happy to pay that but would i have to still have a seperate sky contract at his house? Thanks

The television set is linked to your personal Sky account and content subscription.

Sky doesn't permit subscription to Glass/Stream at an address with a subscription for Sky Q or Sky+ HD.

So you would just need to add the Sky Glass TV to his Sky account in that case. If he only has one Sky Stream puck then you would need to add Whole Home to the account as well in order to add additional sky stteaming device ( Glass/Stream) to the account.

Re: Moving sky glass tv to household already with sky
Why not ring Sky and explain the situation.
Im sure with some friendly persuasion they could end your contract with no termination fee and you would then have the correct one account per household still active.
They probably will insist on a cancellation time of 31 days.
You would then be able to add your Sky Glass onto your partners account to use.
The limits for Sky Glass are watch on up to three Sky Glass TVs and six Sky Stream pucks at the same time.
Sky Stream with two pucks (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Protect smart tech kit tester.

Re: Moving sky glass tv to household already with sky
Brilliant thanks for all that info, I did call them and it will be a case of adding the glass tv to his sky but the complicated part is that I am still paying off the tv until November this year so just going to pay the remaining balance and transfer it. Thanks for all your help on this one

Just a note you will need to factory reset your sky glass and activate it to your partners account during the setup ( if you want it on his contract)
you will lose all your playlisted items as they are specific to your account and your Netflix subscription
43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M500 on hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.
