So the  advice provided is partially correct.

WiFi networks are strongly affected by interference which can be caused by a number of factors including animate other things other the walls of your property. Most standard routers provided by ISPs are fairly cheap and generic and therefore the WiFi networks they create will be more prone to weakening due to interference. The WiFi Max offering by Sky is essentially a way of upgrading the equipment that makes up your WiFi network to help make it stronger. However it's not the only solution, you could invest in your own better router and setup your own WiFi network you can also utilise an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi by purchasing power line adapters. These will allow an Ethernet cable when your device isnt near your router. The Ethernet ports are capped at 100 mbps on Sky Glass and Stream so you don't even need to invest in a expensive power line adapter, a fairly standard £30-40 one that can be found on Amazon will usually do the job.

When using Ethernet it's essential to disable the WiFi in the Glass network settings and then rebooting the Glass by unplugging it for 2 minutes.

A key requirement of the Sky streaming platform isn't just a decent broadband speed to your property, it's also the strength and stability of the network connection as the Sky device requires a constant connection to Sky's servers to operate.

@Traceyh9936

Unlike with their Q television product, Sky does not loan boosters 'free' to solve Glass/Stream connection issues.

As per the previous post, if you had Multiscreen with Q and had a couple of mini Q boxes, this would have provided a boost for your WIFI signal.

Multiple solutions have already been provided in this thread as a way to solve your issue with weak Wifi upstairs in your property, which the Sky Wifi Max being only one of a number of options you have

Re: Lose of internet

But my whole point is I'm paying for internet service I shouldn't av to buy extra equipment for it imo they themselves av told me they can see it's not getting enough so they should supply it so my payment will be £150 a month it's bad enough for certain channels need to pay extra for when I had Q I paid less and got most of channels sky is becoming so expensive I will ask to speak to supervisor about this customer of over 30 yrs

Of course you can try that, but it's now the standard business model.  It's perhaps worth remembering that Sky is now an overseas division of a much larger company and not the independent business it was when Q was launched.

Re: Lose of internet

Sky was part owned, but controlled, by a USA based company before it was sold to Comcast😉
