Lip sync still on sky glass

Surely we can stop paying for sky as they are not providing the service we pay for! Picture keeps disappearing and lip sync out

Re: Lip sync still on sky glass

@Suebur1 Is It a gen one TV you have? I recently got the Gen Two and have not had any issues with the lip sync since getting it. It is annoying, so I am with you there and agree it needs to be fixed asap.

Re: picture disappearing - a few of us have had this problem recently, where the screen goes black but the sound still plays. Sky Technical took me through a factory reset which solved the problem until the latest update dropped, when it started again. I did another factory reset and in the five days since it has not reoccurred.

It might be worth you speaking to Sky Technical and go through the same process? It's easy to do but as it can sometimes cause further problems they like to be on the phone with you to do it. A factory reset does mean you will need to re-set up your picture and sound settings etc. If connected via ethernet you'll also need to turn off your WiFi and putting Network Standby Overnight to on again is worth doing too to maintain connectivity.

Sky would probably allow you to cancel, if you wish. You can't otherwise just stop paying.

Re: Lip sync still on sky glass

I have just taken a Sky Glass air & the audio synch is miles out. No matter which of the options I try it never improves, it only gets worse.

I have 45meg down & 18meg up & am the sole user. The picture clarity is no where near what I was expecting. I was better off with Sky Q through a 4K Samsung telly, at least I had more contol over hard drive content etc. with much more movie choice for free, this is a real backward step. Do not buy unless you have no choice because almost everything points to Sky Store even if you have Sky Cinema.

You can return the TV and revert back to Sky Q on your Samsung TV if you wish.

Sky charge £25 to return Glass during your 31 day cooling off period and you can switch back to a Q contract if you wish.

Give them a ring to discuss your options.

Re: Lip sync still on sky glass

Many thanks, I did that & now I've got my Sky Q back up & running again. Sky will pick up the Sky Stream stuff up on Sunday.
