so....the day after jumping through hoops to do the software update, I can't watch tv  🙂  Rang Sky and told them, they suggested a software update, I told them I had one yesterday, they maintained that there is a slightly diferent way to do it - skip the next paragraph if you don't want to hear how ludicrous it is...

 

yesterday, helpdesk had me unplug tv, depress and hold power button on tv, and plug it back in - let go of power button when red tv  light flashes rapidly.  This would trigger software update.  Today, I was told that was wrong, I should only let go of power button when a message comes up on screen.  I told them I was not going to jump through any more hoops for what must surely be the same software update.

 

I was put through to retentions, he was happy to suggest a QBox, but I've decided to leave.  My yearly contract expires in a month, meaning my monthly charges will be going up, so knackers to them, I'll buy a Fire Stick, and survive on apps and freeView.

Re: Sky Glass won't play any channel or app, I've rebooted and have full internet connection

I'm having exactly the same problem, the tv just says 'waiting for program to load' but nothing happens and i have to reboot everytime and then the picture goes black after a few minutes but the sound still plays. It's been happening for a few weeks now and i suspect a dodgy software update. Your not alone. I hope you get it sorted and I'm about to message sky now and report it

Does any of Sky employees on here know that with some of us Glass users that had software rollback to QS035 the issue is still there because its annoying how I had to restart my TV 18 times so it would stop stupid Please wait program loading message , has anyone asked if there will be any compensation being considered yet.

@ScottishClaymore I'm waiting until they solve the problem before I put in a request for some money back. I want to see how long it takes before I do that.

@Gavin+Noble When I mentioned to them last week about compensation the agent told me that they ain't even considered it yet because how they were at time looking for a solution to fix this.

Having the same problems. Programme not loading message appearing every day. Already been on to Sky and done hard reset. 
Latest thing is trying to watch an app on the Firestick and it just crashes and goes to a Prime Video ad! Same ad each time! If I then try to go back to Sky Home and on to a programme, the not loading message appears. This has happened numerous times this afternoon. Given up and plugged Firestick in Tv upstairs which works fine.

@SassyH Some have suggested that going into the Amazon Prime app for a few seconds, then exiting it back to the Sky home screen temporarily clears the problem for a day. Worth a try maybe?

 

I feel your frustration as I'm one of the affected customers too and am sick of the problem.

Sky Glass and live TV

I'm still having trouble with this problem. Am having to restart my TV everytime we turn it on. It isn't an Internet issue as the 1gb connection is enough. Netflix and Prime are working fine just not the live TV. Are Sky any closer to actually sorting this problem out?
