Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

@Brain3 They don't know their backsides from their elbows. Ignore what you were told given others have said Sky are trying to fix it.

If the TV does need replacing and is out of its two year warranty, you can still get a second hand one cheaper than that. If it's still within the two year warranty then they have to replace it free of charge.

Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

This has been an ongoing issue, at least, since last summer. So, it will be easy to make a complaint for TVs older than two years, if this is indeed an unxifable hardware issue.

Re: sky glass tv

@keira12 It's an issue many of us are having. Apparently Sky are aware of the issue, we're just waiting for them to fix it. In the meantime a factory reset seems to temporarily solve the issue longer than a normal reset. Sky advise this is to be done over the phone with them in case it causes further issues.

Yes I was told this too (£624)

I have no intention of that - somethings changed since a few weeks ago and its never been the same since.

i do have sky protect insurance so I'm waiting to see what Sky back office has to say (awaiting a call that should come by EOB tomorrow).

either way, I want a puck an will fork put for a new (non-glass) TV and they have lost a customer who was all set to get the next generation glass when the time came

Re: Sky glass sound with no picture and not able to load any programmes

Yrs. . I'm having it happen almost daily at the moment. It's beyond frustrating

It's definitely not worth the money it costs.

Got it to load a sky channel before after 2nd attempt at turning off at wall. Played for around 10-15mins then got a pink screen that would only respond to being turned off at the wall. .

Since rebooting I'm back unable to load up and channels. .

My Internet is fine and my tv is connected via ethernet so not even using WiFi.

Re: Sky Glass Screen Goes Black Randomly

I randomly fixed this. If you turn off your router and restart the TV, the settings on the TV will ask you to select a new network.

Turn your router back on and wait for your other devices to pick up the WiFi (like your phone).

Then press the home button on the remote and use your tv as normal (it will have found the WiFi itself).

My sky glass hasn't gone black since this happened. It was going black all the time before. The dropped networked reconnecting obviously triggered something.

Hope this helps

Re: Sky Glass Screen Goes Black Randomly

I had already done that and it was still happening. I got told by a guy who works for sky on customer services, to reset it back to factory settings and so far my sky glass is working fine.

Still the same sky glass problems with my second Gen 2

Morning everybody, I received my second sky glass Gen 2 yesterday and I've turned it on this morning and I'm still getting the same problems as I did with the previous one sky try to factory reset and the hard reset it just doesn't work so hopefully they bring out a new software update soon that will fix it. The problem is all to do with the startup in the morning saying waiting for your program to load so that I have to go down to restart device and restart the device then I select a channel and the screen goes black for about 30 seconds and then I turn over to the next channel and it seems to be okay after that. So it's all to do with the startup in the morning. I really do hope sky bring out a fix for this soon

How is your  tv  connected  to  your  Internet, do you in settings  have network standby mode on, and you say you have done a factory reset? Where you talking  to sky when you did that, I e an advisor  and did they ask you to  do it ?, as it says under factory reset  on the system  management, reset this device back to it's factory state.

Will permanently delete  all your saved account info and any customised settings  your have made,  if your  tv is connected by  wifi  that could  be where your issue  is, i have 2 55inch sky glass tvs, 1 a gen 1 and , a gen 2 both are connected  to  the  by ethernet cables and i personally  do not have or have had this problem

Hi Peter, my my sky glass Gen 2 is connected by cable not Wi-Fi and I still have the same problem. There's quite a few people on here having the same problem as well. Thank you for the advice. Hope you're well

The tv would  also have updated to the latest  build  version   when  it was setting up, build  version  is QS036.017.00P,and as you  have done a factory reset you will  need to call sky  and  get help  with  getting  the tv back on your account and up and running  again

Re: Last few days, technical fault with channel, disney plus etc works.

Hi Kevin, hope you're well. I'm still having the same problem with my second sky glass Gen 2. I had a replacement yesterday because the advisor thought it might be the set rather than the software, but it looks like it's the software problem rather than the TV itself because it's happening on my second one. Any idea when this is going to be fixed because it is so annoying. Thanks, Pete
