We literally only pay for Sky Sports for F1 and the NFL
We are only able to watch a race live on occassion due to my partner's working pattens and so have to watch it on catch up
We have had nothing but problems trying to watch any of the F1 and end up either on Youtube or watching All4
Does anyone know whether Sky are sorting this out? Otherwise we'll be cancelling at the end of this season as we're simply not getting what we are paying for, it's not fit for purpose! We'll pay for F1 TV (same coverage) and NFL+

We have the same problem every race weekend. The race itself, although saying it's available on demand, never is! It's always the warm up or another session labelled wrongly.
we only use sky for f1 and whole thing is appalling. I called to complain three weeks ago and they said they were "aware of the problem" and that it should be fixed in the next software update which is clearly not true!
I would LOVE to cancel my sky membership but there is no other way to watch f1 on demand!!!

@Jen102 they've been saying that for 3 years

Is there any other way of accessing f1 in a catch up format? We had now tv before but that wasn't great and we often can't watch the races live. It's so infuriating.

Currently watching race highlights on All 4 because it's impossible on Sky Sports. Not only did they mistitle the race session, as usual, but they have also placed a huge race result spoiler right in the F1 Replay Menu. Way to go.

Note that neither of those is officially available in the UK: not surprising given that Sky has paid the respective rights owners a great deal of money for exclusivity.
In particular, the F1 TV subscription which can be viewed at addresses with a UK IP address does not include live race video.

The F1 coverage on Sky is variable, 3 years ago when Glass was first launched it was it was useless and Sky didn't seem to really know how to fix it and the customer service was as bad as the coverage, the quality of service seems to vary from race to race & person to person and the last two race weekends have not been good. I have Sky sports solely to watch F1 and think it is scandalous that Sky have the monopoly of F1 but are unable to provide an acceptable broadcast. I think Sky still don't really know what the problem is or how to fix it and from my experience with customer service don't particularly care. I think they had a clever marketing strategy when it was first launched by offering us a TV interest free over 4 years, the TV is ok but it isn't a Smart TV and is no more than a conventional terrestrial TV with a couple of HDMI ports if you take away the Sky Stream element so no by no means smarter than a smart TV as adertised. From what I have read it sounds like people also have problems with F1 on Sky Q as well so probably not much point in going back to that.

Qualifying still not showing!

This is an example of the inconsistency of it, the full qualifying program appeared in my playlist Sunday evening, not much good to me after the race. I notice the thumbnails for other Sky programs appear in my playlist as the most recent recording but when go into the program list the latest episode isn't there and doesn't appear until after the program has finished. In its simplest form the system is only linking you to a file on a server and I find it difficult to understand why it sometimes goes so badly wrong and takes so long to fix, unless as I said in previous post it caused by a shortage of disc space which could also explain why we have varying results as disc space is allocated on a first come first served basis
