You can only make cloud recordings of content that will not be available on a catch-up streaming service!

Even then, the channels you wish to record require the rights to allow you to make cloud recordings?

You don't record. Sky Glass does not have any on-board storage.

You use the red plus button on the remote to add shows from the EPG to your playlist. This will then take you to the appropriate streaming app or on demand stream for that particular programme.

Why is that if I am watching a programme on, say film4 and decide I want to watch the rest tomorrow, when I go to my playlist it sends me to a streaming app and not the all4 app ? The programme was on Film4 but then it sends me to Prime video or another of the streaming apps I don't subscribe to ?

So its possible the film isn't available on the Channel 4 app. For a lot of the films that are broadcast across the Channel 4 owned channels, they only have the broadcast rights for and not any on-demand streaming rights. Where they do have streaming rights typically this is for 30 months after the film is first broadcast, so if they are repeating the film several weeks later on Film 4, then the streaming rights may have expired.

Despite saying that, for some shows/films where the show is available on multiple streaming platforms, there is usually an option to also select "other providers". I think by default if a film in on Sky Cinema, it lists the Sky Cinema showing, but i have come across a film that was also available on paramount plus, and there was an option to click the paramount plus button which would cause it to open and start streaming from there. However this doesn't seem to apply all films/showsthat may be available on multiple platforms.
