Glass tv screen keeps going black for no reason
My sky glass tv has gone black twice within the past 15 minutes. It was playing music, then it just went black and nothing, wouldnt turn off with the control so i had to unplug it. Plugged it back in, playing music again, then the screen went black again, yet this time, my music is still playing, just on a black screen. Its gone black multiple times since ive had it, but this is the first time the screens gone black, but the sound is still coming out of the tv and if you press a button on the remote control, a line will come up at the bottom, but still no picture. Yes they can be resolved eventually after unplugging it etc, but it shouldnt keep happening in the first place. I never had this problem with my old tv, it never randomnly went black or shut down, or played sound with a black screen etc

Re: Glass tv screen keeps going black for no reason
@K4yl2 This was an issue that many experienced over the past couple of months. It was meant to have been fixed in the latest update. It could be that you haven't yet received that update or it could be a new issue entirely.
I would ring Sky and get it logged in their systems.

Re: Glass tv screen keeps going black for no reason
Can you try the following type of restart.
- Put your TV on standby by pressing the Standby button on your Sky remote or on the right-hand side of your TV.
- Switch off your TV at the mains then switch it back on again. There’s no need to unplug it. After a few seconds, you'll see the Sky logo on screen and the red standby light will come on (it might blink off and back on again) as the Sky Glass starts back up
If it's doing it again, after trying the above as often as you mention, we will escalate it to the Sky Community Messaging team for a chat to see if they can help further.
