Glass pixalated and wont turn on
Sky glass .. what a shambles.
Glass tv working fine , Went on holiday for a week, came back sky glass completely broken - screen pixilated won't reboot but get some sound of starting up.
Sky says accidental damage ? Please tell me how exactly when tv not been on.
Constant bugs, issues and lagging of tv.
Forums, posts and more posts of people complaining of the same problems but Sky won't acknowledge the technology they are supplying is not fit for purpose ?
Normal technology - 3 year warranty
Sky glass - 2 year warranty and funny just after this warranty runs out tvs are breaking and will cost £500 to replace.
Sounds abit like the iPhone situation a few years back where it turned out they were 'bugging' and making phones slower so people would have to upgrade or replace earning them millions of pounds...
Anyone got any answers to this ?

Re: Glass pixalated and wont turn on
Power off at the mains for a prolonged period of time (at least 10 minutes) and try again. If that doesn't work try the recovery process as outlined here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/setting-up-sky-glass-sky-logo

Re: Glass pixalated and wont turn on
Accidental damage on an LCD panel is typically characterised by a spiderweb of shapes and colours radiating from one place on the screen. 'Pixiliation' is rather different.

Re: Glass pixalated and wont turn on
We have tried a reset by turning off 3 times. Each time the colours on the screen change but still with lines from all different places Not from one certain place? The screen has not been hit damaged etc in anyway by us. We were on holiday so as asked how is this accidental damage? Came home pressed the on button and it was like this .... the screen accidently broke itself did it ?

Re: Glass pixalated and wont turn on
Did you leave the tv plugged in while you were away , I have just looked up for you that a power surge can cause damage to the tv screen , I e pixelate and this could be how it has happened if you have not got any sort of surge protector, I am just a fellow customer like you, I have had my 55inch sky glass tv for what will be 3 years on the 5th of November , plugged into a surge protection plug and covered by sky protect and no problems
