Glass TV set-up problems.

Hi, can anyone help point me in the right direction please? I've had several different problems on setting my TV up with onscreen messages like experiencing difficulties, no internet, etched... I can get on Netflix and some Apps loaded up but nothing on the sky channels has loaded up. It has said loading but turns off the screen and buffers without connecting up successfully. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Graeme.

Sounds like it's not receiving a consistent WiFi signal - if at all possible can you hardwire directly to the router with an ethernet cable and then turn off the WiFi in the glass / puck settings

Re: Glass TV set-up problems.

Hi, Thanks for the reply...I'm currently using a 4Gee WiFi mini dongle from EE that is supposed to have 100 mbps speed. I did straight away think if that would be a weakness but it has only dropped the signal once as to of made me have to re-logg in to it. Is that correct the Glass TV needs 10 mbps?..thank you.

4G won't deliver anything like 100Mbs in the real world: that's presumably the theoretical maximum speed of the device.  You might hope for somewhere between 5Mbs and 40Mbs if you're very lucky: 5G would be much more appropriate.

Is that correct the Glass TV needs 10 mbps?

That's what the initial Sky marketing claimed for HD on Stream: we suspect at least twice as fast is more realistic.  'Average' 4G may well be inadequate.

Here's the technical bit. Average 4G download speeds are likely to be between 8 and 10 megabits a second (Mbit/s), with possible instances of up to 40 Mbit/s.
